We Welcome New Patients
Many families just don’t know where to start when it comes to a loved one or themselves suffering from addiction. Every new patient encounter starts with an assessment by one of our compassionate counselors.
We are committed to helping patients and families navigate through the complex world of addiction recovery.
Our treatment team collaboratively creates a customized recovery plan. This varies from person to person.
All outpatient treatment modalities are offered by our clinic. We have marriage and family therapists, Drug and Alcohol Counselors, a psychiatrist, and an Addiction Medicine physician. We work closely with several inpatient facilities and can refer when appropriate.
OPIATE DETOX– If you or your loved one is looking for detoxification from opiates like heroin, oxycodone, vicodin, or other pain pills then you’ve come to the right place. We are the foremost and most experienced providers for outpatient opiate detox. This can safely be done as an outpatient. That’s correct. The vast majority of patients who are on opiates do not need inpatient care. Motivated individuals with very good support systems can detox at home with the intensive support, knowledge and medication provided by the clinic.
SUBOXONE DETOX– Suboxone is tricky. Most patients have been on it too long and are just too scared to try to get off. Suboxone detox requires an experienced team guiding the patient thru recovery. Patients need to be on a relatively low dose of suboxone/ subutex to even start treatment and must be 100% committed to recovery from all substances. It can be done and patients don’t need to suffer extreme withdrawal or be on powerful opiates indefinitely. See our page on suboxone detox for more info:
ALCOHOL DETOX– This is the most common patient we see as alcohol is socially acceptable and easily accessible. We have successfully detox hundreds of patients now off alcohol. Most motivated patients do very well as an outpatient, However depending on withdrawal symptoms and the amount of support at home, inpatient care maybe recommend. We provide intensive after-care with individual and group meetings combined with medication support. We offer 12 step and non 12 step recovery tools.
BENZODIAZEPINE DETOX– The patient who wants to stop using the benzodiazepine drugs like Xanax, Valium, Ativan, Restoril, or Clonopin must be in an intensive medically supervised program because sudden discontinuation or a poorly planned withdrawal schedule could be fatal. We can work with your regular prescribes or use the NAD Brain Restoration Therapy treatment to aid your recovery. Among all the drugs that people turn to this class of medication can be the most difficult to discontinue. Dr. Starr has extensive experience working with benzodiazepine dependent patients.
